We interviewed Dr. Nellie Bush, principal of Tecler Elementary School. We asked her questions about Tecler's Flag Day celebration.

 

 

Interviewer: "Why did you start Flag Day at Tecler?"
Dr. Bush: "Because it is important for children to know about the history of their country."

Interviewer: "What does the flag mean to you?"
Dr. Bush: "It is a symbol of how hard people fought for a free country."

Interviewer: "Why is  Flag Day important to you?"
Dr. Bush: "It shows me what  children are learning about our country and our flag."

Interviewer: "How long have you been celebrating Flag Day?"
Dr. Bush: " 17 years."
