What is a interview?
An interview occurs when a reporter and subject have a discussion and the reporter uses the information gained to write an article.
An interview is often written in question and answer format, showing the questions of the interviewer and responses of the subject as direct quotes.
An interviewer focuses the questions for the subject on one main subject. Often, background information about the person or specific topic is given before the important ideas and facts about the subject, his/her personal or professional life and opinions are explored.
