The Introduction

Have you ever wondered who invented the radio? The Internet? If so, it’s about time you found out!

To complete this WebQuest, you will research a technological invention (and its inventor) of your choice, and create a 10-slide PowerPoint Presentation to communicate your findings. You should choose an area that interests you…it helps to make your research much more fun.

When you are finished with your presentation, you will work in a small group, not as a student this time, though…as an inventor. You and your group mates will work together to invent a product to improve a specific area (i.e. a product to make household chores easier). You will not only have to build a model of your invention, but also, persuade the rest of the students in the class to believe that your group’s invention is the best. They’ll be in other small groups creating inventions of their own. Start honing your debate skills now!
