1. Identify the type of document what type of a narrative is it?
2. What is the content? Placement in time?
What does it provide in information? Cause / Effec_;ts?
3. What is the primary point of view?
What idea is the document supporting?
4. Identify symbols and meaning.
What small details lead to a larger idea?
5. What is the theme - the idea?
6. Is there irony? A sarcastic manner in which what is said is meant to express the
opposite.
7. Is there satire? Use of sarcasm, irony or wit to ridicule or expose abuses or follies.
