Change to Tuesday, November 3

The following information was included in a letter mailed home to all families on October 20.

Change to Tuesday, November 3

On Tuesday, November 3, instruction for all students will take place entirely virtually.  There will not be any in-person instruction held on this day, including for those students who attend the hybrid format.  All students should log-in to their online classroom, as directed by their teacher, at the morning school start time.  Afternoon lessons, as usual, will still be held remotely.  Your child's teacher will provide instructions for both the morning and afternoon sessions.

This change is for one day only as an election day health and safety precautionary measure.  Many of our schools serve as election polling sites with community members entering and leaving throughout the day.  Even though the polling places are separated from our teaching and learning spaces, we decided to air on the side of caution and not bring students and staff into the schools while visitors are present.  This also serves as an opportunity to practice transitioning to an all-remote environment like we would do in the event of a snow day or any type of emergency closing.  Students who attend in-person (hybrid) classes will return to school, as usual, the following day.
