Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

We are pleased to share with you that the Schenectady City School District received another supply of COVID-19 rapid test kits to provide to families so that you have them accessible when needed.  On Monday, January 31, we will be sending a test kit home with each elementary and middle school student as well as students who attend SCLA and Washington Irving.  If you do not wish to receive a kit, please let your child’s teacher or principal know.  You can also let us know by submitting a message through Let’s Talk.

Schenectady High School will have kiosks in place where students can stop and pick one up on their way out of school on Monday.

As a reminder, any child who has a symptom of COVID-19 should be tested either by taking two home tests within 36 hours apart, or getting tested at a clinic, doctor’s office or testing site.  It is also recommended that testing be done five days after being exposed to someone who is positive.  The reminders and protocols are posted here.

If you have any questions, please contact your school nurse.

Thank you.
