Welcome Back Reminders Updates & Instructions

Updates Reminders and Instructions

We look forward to welcoming your child back to school on Monday.  Here are some tools, updates and reminders.  Please check the district website often as news and updates will be posted regularly.
Bus Riders
Post cards with your pick-up time and location were mailed Thursday.

If possible, please take your child’s temperature before leaving home to board the bus.  If your child has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, please do not send him or her to school.  While we originally planned to take every student’s temperature prior to boarding the bus, we are unable to staff all of the buses and arrange the logistics prior to our reopening.  Temperatures of those riding Northland, Capital Bus, Amazing Grace, Gateway and Star and Strand, will be taken as each child boards the bus.  Temperatures of those riding Brown and Durham will not be taken as they board.  All students will have their temperature taken upon arrival and before entering school.
Bus riders must wear a face covering and will have assigned seating.
Picking Up and Dropping Off Your Child at School
Each of our schools has a plan for where students will be dropped off, picked up and enter school.  When you arrive at school on Monday, please follow the directive of school personnel regarding where to drop and pick up your child.   There is no program before school starts and students will not be allowed to enter the school early.  Elementary school children should not arrive before 7:45 a.m. and 6th graders before 8:15 a.m.
School Supplies
We understand that some of you want to know what school supplies your students will need.  We are working with all of the schools to create individual bags of supplies for both hybrid and virtual.  If your child is attending all virtual, we will let you know when the supplies come in and how you can pick them up.

Immunizations and Health Exam Requirements
New York State Public Health Law mandates all students enrolled in PreK-12th grade, regardless of their learning virtually or in-person, to provide documentation that they have received all of their required vaccines. Students must be excluded from school if this documentation is not in place.
