Congratulations to the
MST Students Awarded In
Schenectady High School's Five Star Recognition Program
The 5 Star
recognition program is designed to recognize students who demonstrate
achievement in the following areas: academics, activities, attendance,
athletics, and attitude.
This program allows
students to achieve recognition “stars” in any or all of the above
mentioned categories. Listed below, is a brief summation of the
criteria for each category:
Academics: A student will receive a certificate each quarter for 85%
or higher in all credited subjects. A student will receive a star at
the end of the year if the student has been on the honor roll for the
first 3 quarters of the year.
Activities: A student must be involved in one or more activities
during the school year.
Athletics: A student must participate in, and complete, two sports
activities during the school year.
Attendance: Students will receive certificates each quarter for 1 or
less absences. The final star will be awarded for 98% or better
attendance.
Attitude: A student must complete a full year of school without any
referrals.
