School Day

Approximately
50 Zoller Elementary School students and their families
participated in the International Walk to School Day on October
7. Instead of hopping on the bus or catching a ride to
school, the students got some morning exercise by walking
instead - even though it was pouring rain out.
The
participants were greeted and given fruit, water, reflector
stickers and granola bars as they walked in to school following
the morning walk. Also on hand were the Schenectady
Police, who patrolled the walking routes, the school nurse,
Vince Giammusso, chief of security and members of the school
PTO.
Zoller
principal Pat Doyle said she hopes this will become an annual
event across the district.
