Yates
Families Enjoy International Night
 Recently
the staff and families from Yates Elementary School came
together to enjoy the school's first annual International
Dinner.
Many contributed
by bringing in a meal that represents their culture for all to
share.
The more than 160
people in attendance were treated to a wide variety of meals
including Flan de Queso, Pelau, and Galumpkis. Korean Stew,
Hungarian Sheppard’s Pie, and Chinese Spring Rolls were provided
by the Yates staff for guests to sample.
 In
addition to enjoying many different meals, everyone was treated
to a performance by the Yates Bel Canto singers.
Rob Flanders,
principal of Yates School, said he was pleased with the event
and expressed gratitude to the staff and families for helping to
make the event a success. "Be on the lookout for more events in
the near future." said Flanders.
