Students celebrate Flag Day by making bouquets, dancing for seniors

Wednesday, June 14 was Flag Day and to celebrate, students from Yates Arts-In-Education Magnet School made beautiful flower bouquets with Frieda from Fire Fly Florist. Then, the Yates ballroom dancers performed for the seniors at Dayhaven Adult Care on Nott Terrace. After doing the Cha-Cha, Rumba and several other dances, the group of students gave each senior one of the bouquets, along with a fan colored like a United States flag.

Students at Yates were also able to learn more about Flag Day thanks to materials sent from Senator Hugh Farley's (R,C-Schenectady) office.
