Woodlawn
teams with Leukemia-Lymphoma Society
to help patients & their families
The students in
John Gabelman's class at Woodlawn Elementary School teamed with
the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society on the Campaign Pennies for
Patients. Collection boxes were given to each student in
the school so that they could collect donations from November 14
through December 3 for children and families fighting Leukemia
and Lymphoma. Gableman's class set a goal to collect $700.
The class surpassed that goal by $300, raising about $1,000.
The students of
Woodlawn Elementary are grateful to the community for coming
together to support the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.
The effort was
organized by school social worker Harold Sperazza.
