Keane
students have fun while they learn about safety
The
students at Keane Elementary School to tips and practiced
staying safe at a Safety Celebration Barbecue held at the school
on Monday.
Everyone
learned the best way to get out of the house in the event of a
fire thanks to Firefighter Jim who was on hand with his
smokehouse. Members of Mohawk Ambulance Service gave the
students some pointers on how to help someone if they are hurt
during a fire. Officer Leffingwell and his dog Zimmer
demonstrated how dogs can help keep people safe as well.
Students
enjoyed getting their faces painted. MacNtosh the clown
also joined the celebration and made the students balloon art
creatures.
The STOP DWI/Traffic
Safety gave away more than 50 bicycle helmets. Martin,
Hardin and Mazzotti donated a new bike which was raffled off and
presented to a lucky winner.
