Keane Second
Grade Mystery Reader Program
Who's the next reader? It could be your mother or
father
Can
you guess how the second graders at Keane Elementary School
celebrated the kick-off of the new Mystery Reader Program?
Five clues: reader, Fridays, book, listen carefully,
clues.
If you guessed
that every Friday, a special surprise guest will be coming in to read to
the class, you are correct. But there is more .... the students
have to guess who the reader will be.
The
students are given five clues about the visiting reader.
They then try to guess who it is.
"This is great
because a student could be listening to the clues and then
realize that it might be one of his or her own family members
coming in," said Susan Look, second grade teacher.
The first
mystery reader:
1. was a teacher
2. is new to our district
3. is sometimes on television
4. enjoys working with our community
5. is Mr. Sardos' boss
That's
right. The first Mystery Reader was Superintendent John
Yagielski.
Be the next
Mystery Reader
The second
grade teachers are looking for family members to volunteer to
come in and read. If you are interested, simply send a
note in to school.
