Parents Get Tips at Computer Family Smart Night
 Keane
Elementary School parents gained valuable insight to how they
can keep their children safe while using the Internet at
Computer Family Smart Night.
The evening
included a presentation from Casey Quinlin of the New York State
Attorney General's Office who spoke to the parents about the
importance of Internet Safety. Mrs. Bernadt, the Keane
school librarian and Ms. Wallman from the Schenectady Duane
Branch Library demonstrated how parents can access many library
online resources from their home computers.
The message
to parents is that they are the Internet provider and parents
are in control of the sites their children visit and the people
that their children "talk" with on the Internet.
