students participated in district wide chess tourney last month
 Twenty-four
chess players from schools throughout the district participated
in the 5th Annual Schenectady City School District Chess
Tournament on April 12 at Van Corlaer Elementary School.
Congratulations to
Van Corlaer 4th grader Ryan Patterson, who won the tournament
and Van Corlaer 3rd grader Kalvyn Rojas who was runner-up.
Matthew Mushcett,
a 5th grader at Elmer Avenue placed third. Jesica
Ramkisson, a 5th grader at Hamilton Elementary School took
fourth place.
