2013 School
Board Election
Are you
interested in running for school board?
Three Board of Education seats are up for election
on May 21, 2013.
The top two vote-getters will
enter into three-year terms and will be sworn in on July 1,
2013.
The candidate with
the third highest number of votes will take office immediately
and fill the remainder of Gary Farkas' term which runs through
2014.
If you are
interested in running for the Schenectady City School District
Board of Education, please pick up nominating petitions in the
clerk’s office Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The clerk’s office is located within the district business
office in the rear of Mont Pleasant Middle School at 108
Education Drive.
In order to get on
the ballot, a person must:

Reside in the
school district for at least one year immediately preceding
the election

Certify that
he or she is a qualified voter

Present at
least 100 legible signatures
Petitions are due
in the clerk’s office by 5 p.m. on May 1, 2013.
