Seats Up For Election
Nominating petitions can be picked up
The Schenectady
City School District Board of Education has three seats up for
election on May 17, 2011. All are for three-year
terms.
Anyone who is
interested in running for the Schenectady City School District
Board of Education should pick up nominating petitions in the
clerk’s office Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The clerk’s office is located within the district business
office in the rear of Mont Pleasant Middle School at 108
Education Drive.
In order to get on
the ballot, a person must:

Reside in the
school district for at least one year immediately preceding
the election

Certify that
he or she is a qualified voter
-
Present at
least 100 legible signatures
Petitions are due
in the clerk’s office by 5 p.m. on April 27, 2011.
