On
Wednesday, December 20, more than 15 Schenectady High School
faculty members volunteered their time and the school's
Inspiration Choir sang at the Schenectady City Mission.
Faculty members served the holiday meal while the choir sang a
variety of gospel and holiday songs.
Community members and the volunteers at the mission were moved
by the performance as everyone clapped, sang and clearly enjoyed
the mood that was set by the choir prior to the dinner.
This marks the second year that the choir has volunteered to
sing and it is the first year that the school coordinated a team
of faculty members to serve the meal. The Inspirational Choir
members see this performance as a fulfilling opportunity because
they know how inspirational their music can be to others.
The event was coordinated by Susie Walsh.
