Wins Shakespeare Showdown
Congratulations to Aden Brooks, a Schenectady High School sophomore
who took first place in the Albany English-Speaking Union 2008
Shakespeare competition held at the William K. Sanford Town Library in
Colonie.
Brooks,
who played the lead in the high school's production of Godspell last
week took the top spot in the Shakespeare showdown from more than
thirteen students from across the Capital Region. Contestants
recited selections from Shakespeare's plays and sonnets.
Brooks
will advance to the national competition in New York City.
