SHS Women’s Choir donates $500 to Costa Rican Church

When the Schenectady High School Women’s Choir traveled to San Jose Costa Rica in March of 2011, they performed at the Alajuelita Christian Church. While there members of the Women's Choir saw a tremendous need for musical instruments and decided to try to make a difference.  The group recently made a donation of $500 to Pastor Bermeo at the church. 

With the help of Alejandra Barahona Castro of the University of Veritas, the $500 went towards a new Washburn acoustic/electric guitar, case, cables, music stand and guitar stand.  

The SHS Women’s Choir members were thrilled to see their donation put to good use!
