The John Sayles
School of Fine Arts'
Blue
Roses Theatre Company present Ken Ludwig's wild and
funny farce, Moon Over Buffalo on November
7, 8, 9 and 10 in the Black Box Theatre at the John Sayles
School of Fine Arts.
Show
times are 7 pm with an additional 2 pm matinee on November 10.
Moon Over
Buffalo, directed by Bill Ziskin, involves over 30
students with cast and running crew. Rehearsal for the
production began the first day of school.
About the
Show
Written by the author of Lend Me a Tenor, this backstage
farce has an aging thespian longing for a shot at the big
screen. She endures a love/hate relationship with her
husband and acting partner George, who himself suffers delusions
of grandeur. Fate gives these two one last shot at
performing for Frank Capra.
In true farce,
no one knows if George will show up drunk, if Charlotte will
stay or run off with her lawyer, if Frank is really Frank and if
the troupe will perform Cyrano de Bergerac, Private Lives
or a disturbing mixture of the two.
Tickets:
$5 Adults, $3 Seniors and Students, $2 SHS Students with ID.
