SHS French Club Raising Money for Trip
Teachers and Administrators Take Pie in Face to Help with Effort

The Schenectady High School French Club held a pie in the face event at the Homecoming Pep Rally this year in an effort to raise money for a four day trip to Montreal in April.

Students were eager to roll the die and win a shot at putting a pie in the face of their favorite house principal or teacher.  Joanne Wolcott, house principal of the Business and International Studies House at Schenectady High, and foreign language teachers Antoine Gerbini, and Denise Rochette, were among those who offered up their mugs to the whipped cream pies.

Fifty French and Arabic students will be participating in this year’s foreign cultural experience.  Last year, BIS French teacher Jeri Carlstedt accompanied 12 students on a 10 day French exchange in Paris, France.

If you would like to make a contribution to help the club make the trip to Montreal or if you would like more information, please contact:  carlstedtj@schenectady.k12.ny.us or gerbinia@schenectady.k12.ny.us
