Schenectady High School has strong showing
in regional art competition

SHS senior takes second place

Twelve of the 36 pieces included in the Capital Region 2010 Congressional Art Competition at the Regional Arts Council in Troy were the works of Schenectady High School students.  The competition, which included artwork from five area schools, was sponsored by Congressman Paul Tonko.  An opening reception was held on May 17.

Schenectady High School senior Ashley Ayuso's artwork took the second place prize in the competition.  Ayuso won art supplies, received congressional recognition and met with Congressman Tonko.
