Emergency Cancellation Procedure

Due to weather and a number of emergencies, the afterschool program at your child's school may be canceled on short notice.  It is important that you develop a plan for your child in the event that the program is canceled.

Bus students  should take their regular bus home on such occasions.

Students who walk will do that.

Students who are picked up at school should plan to use a telephone in the office, classroom etc. to inform parents of the program cancellation.

We encourage parents to listen to local radio or television stations or check the Web site for cancellation of activities.

We want to ensure that all students remain safe during weather emergencies.

School Closing
Please listen to your radio or television for announcements concerning school closings. School closing means that all daytime and evening activities are canceled.

Our Hour Delay
School Day begins 1 hour later than normal (10 a.m.)

No early supervision
Bus students will be picked up one hour later than normal

Two Hour Delay
School Day begins 2 hours later than normal (11 a.m.)

Parents are advised not to send children to school at the regular time if there is a delayed opening since there will be no adult supervision.

Thank you for your cooperation with informing your child with directions on what to do when we are unable to have a program and can give little notice.
