Capital Project Public Information Sessions are Scheduled:

          May 4, 6:30 p.m. at King Elementary School

          May 9, 6:15 p.m. at Woodlawn Elementary School

  • Learn about the $64.5 million worth of work scheduled in Phase II and how it 
    will be completed with no impact on the tax levy.

The Board of Education, on March 29, 2017, passed resolutions to approve renovations and alterations at nine district school in Phase II of the SCSD Long Range Plan.  The estimated cost of the work is $64,500,000 which will be presented to Schenectady residents for approval on May 16, 2017.   Due to the high reimbursement rate, EXCEL, and Capital Reserve funding, Phase II projects will have no impact on taxes.   A Capital Reserve proposition, to authorize the establishment of the reserve fund, will be presented to voters on the same ballot.
