School calendar
recognized in communications contest

The Schenectady
City School District was recently awarded "Honorable Mention" by
the National
School Public Relations Association for the 2009-2010 school
calendar
"Schenectady City Schools: Coming Full Circle.
Congratulations
to Skye Heritage who designed the publication and along with Sal
DeAngelo took all of the photographs that appear in the
calendar.
NSPRA holds a
publications and electronic media awards contest every year.
This year there were 583 entries in the publication portion of
the contest. Schenectady was one of 333 districts that were
recognized.
The "Coming
Full Circle" calendar features successful graduates of the
district along side current students who aspire to work in a
similar career field. For example, the month of February
features a Schenectady High School student who dreams of being a
pediatrician and Dr. Carol Greenblatt, a successful pediatrician
who graduated from Schenectady Schools in 1991.
