On Tuesday, October 18, Erin Kinal from the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission visited Mrs. Fretto's sixth grade classes.  She presented a slide show of the animals and plants that live in the Pine Bush, an ecologically preserved area originally created by a glacier.  There are many endangered and unique species found in this area such as the Karner blue butterfly and buckmoth.  She brought specimens from this area for students to examine.
