Magnet Schools
Admission
Admission to the Schenectady City School District's magnet
schools is determined by annual lottery.
Applications
for the lottery are mailed in February to parents who reside
within the district. They are also available at the district's
magnet schools office as well a each elementary school.
The lottery is
usually held in March at Steinmetz.
Magnet School
strive to achieve racial balance in each school.
