students come together in pajamas to Read for the Record
The book: "Llama Llama Red Pajama"
On October 6, students at
Lincoln Elementary joined thousands of others from all over the
world in an effort to "Read for the Record." This year's book
was Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney. Lincoln students
participated by reading the book, wearing their pajamas, and
several classes constructed their own llamas. The llamas are
showcased in the building.
Each year
classrooms all over the world try to help break the world record
for the most children listening to a particular book on a
certain day. Last year, over two million participated in
the event.
