Ask Jeeves allows the user to type a natural language question into the computer instead of keyword searches.  The kids site is great for young children just learning how to use the Internet.  They can type in a question, view questions other users have asked and use the homework help section.

Type in a keyword search or use the vast subject directory to find what you are looking for.  Also use the geographic feature, which limits your search results to a certain region by city, state, or zip code.

Albany students, but most items are available to everyone.  A good place to start Internet research.

The online version of the Encyclopedia Britannica.  Provides links to helpful web sites on a variety of topics as well as the online version of Encyclopedia Britannica.  Includes feature articles pertaining to current events news stories.

The online version of the popular TV show.  Search a database of over 40,000 names to retrieve biographical information.  Also includes a schedule of Biography programs and provides a “Whose birthday do you share?” feature.
