Thank you from King Magnet School Students

The Seventh Graders write

"I think the new King School is great.  The new classrooms are great.  They look much cooler and I really can work in them.  This school now makes me feel that I can brag about it.  I also think that the new 7th and 8th grade teachers are really cool too.  Thanks for the new school."

"King School looks nice.  I've been in this school since kindergarten.  The only thing, I wish - we had study hall.  The classrooms are very nice.  The colors really blend.  I've always thought this school needed a flair.  The cafeteria is really nice and colorful."

"King School is more comfortable for me.  The classrooms are more comfortable because they are bigger and we have more space to move around.  The school makes me feel more comfortable because I don't have to stay in one classroom for the whole day.  I can move around, experience new things, new classes and learn more."

"I do like the new school.  It think it's great and yes, I feel comfortable in my new hall.  I like to thank you for all that you do for me and my fellow classmates.  We say thanks.  I know it takes a lot of time and money.  I think I'm really getting a good education here.  I'm getting a lot of good information, more than I ever thought was possible.  But it takes time and effort.  So, thanks again."

"I think the new King school is nice.  It is pretty big.  The new classrooms are comfortable, nicer, bigger and better.  I think the school should have an indoor pool so we could have swimming classes."

"I think my school looks awesome.  It's very pretty.  It seems much bigger to me.  I have been here at King School since I was in kindergarten.  Now I am in seventh grade. On the first day, I just said one word, wow!  I like the new classrooms.  I feel comfortable.  Some of the rooms are big and some are small.  The school has changed so much.  I love it.  Sometimes I want to stay and some days I don't.  The construction workers did a good job and so did everybody else.  I just want to say thank you."

"King School has lots of great things like the lockers, hallways, classroom, cafeteria, the playground and the teachers.  Yes, the classrooms do make me feel more comfortable because we can learn things that we always wanted to learn like - English, health, home and career, tech., social studies and science.  My feelings about this school are that it's nice, kind, sweet, wonderful, cool, great and joyful.  I like the new additions, but I don't like something.  There was a kickball court near the playground but they built a basketball court instead.  I also like the bigger hallways.  This school is the best school to go to."

"King School is very nice.  I like the colors and I like how the classrooms are set up because it's big and has a lot of space.  Yes, I do feel comfortable in the classrooms except for one and that's the literacy workshop.  It's very small. I like lockers because they're skinny but they're not small - they are nice and tall.  I also like how in the gym lockers we have a bathroom.  I really like it.  I also like how the classrooms are not far from each other so that we won't be late to our classes.  I think the school is very cool."

"Thanks for you help and showing you care for us!  Our school looks great.  It has more room and it is finally spaced out.  We have much better equipment, so thanks.  The classrooms are a great size and fit  - just right - but not only that they feel better and I feel safe and secure.  It's not everyday when people walk down the street and say "were gonna help this school out," but you guys did and I thank you.  Other people may not like this school because it isn't everything but it is something.  Thanks for even reading my letter.  I just wanted to show you that I'm grateful and appreciate this.  You have done a lot of us and I'm glad we can say thank you. Thanks."

"I think that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School is wonderful but it's only my first year.  Everything is so wonderful, clean, bright and exciting even in the cafetorium.  The classroom is always clean and there is always something new and exciting to do in class. It's comfortable except there are no window blinds.  People can see into the classroom when you're in class."

"I think that the new school is awesome.  The classrooms are more comfortable.  It is amazing that we could have more classrooms.  It is also cool that the 6th graders can stay another year and that the 7th graders that went to Central Park could come back."

"I really like the school now!  It's really nice and colorful.  It's more roomy.  Also, I really like the teachers.  They give us all the information we need to know.  They help us when we need it and answer all my questions.  But they all have good senses of humor, especially Mr. Bergin and Mr. Waldron.  The classrooms are much more roomy and comfortable.  I also love switching classes instead of staying in just one.  You have much more room to sit and more personal space.  My feeling about the school is that it is exciting!  The school is much more alive now and that's exactly how I feel."

"Thank you for the new science lab.  When we go every Wednesday, we do different science experiments.  Last week, we made complete circuits with wires, batteries and a light bulb."

"Thank you for the science lab.  We have used it to learn how to complete a circuit.  We also made balloons fly on a string.  We did an experiment with a car and a ruler.  We measure the distance the car traveled after chasing the height of the ramp.  Thank you for the improvements to our school."

"Thank you for the beautiful classroom.  We have a room to learn in and we can play in here for recess when it rains.  Thank you for making it fresh, clean and new.  Thank you for making our classroom bigger and better."

"Thank you for the cafeteria.  We eat there and it is nice.  The tables are cool.  Every boy and girls loves the cafeteria because it is painted with nice colors.  Sometimes we play in there when it rains.  Thank you for making our school better."
