King School to host large chess
tournament this weekend
More than 100 students from throughout the region will compete
Dr. Martin Luther King Math, Technology and
Invention Magnet School
is hosting “Make The Right Move” scholastic chess
tournament on Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 10 a.m. – 3
p.m.
More than 100
participants in grades kindergarten through 12 from schools
throughout the Capital District and as far away as Kingston and
Syracuse will be competing. The competition also includes a
division for parents and guardians to complete.
Approximately 40
students from the Schenectady City School District will be
competing.
King Magnet School
took first place in a competition last month in Albany.
