Kari Petrozola was awarded the Golden Apple Award at the June 15 Board of Education Meeting

The Schenectady City School District Board of Education presented The Golden Apple Award to Kari Petrozola, the main office paraprofessional at Schenectady High School at the June 15 meeting.  The Golden Apple Award is to recognize anyone who has contributed an outstanding amount of time, talent or effort to the Schenectady City School District.  Petrozola was nominated by staff members from Schenectady High School.

The nomination

It is with great pleasure that the staff of Schenectady High School would like to recommend one of our peers, Kari Petrozola for the Golden Apple Award for her outstanding dedication to the Schenectady City School District.  To be recommended by your colleagues is one of the best honors an employee could receive and she truly demonstrates characteristics that any employer would want on their staff.

Mrs. Petrozola is one of the first people to arrive at school often as early as 6 am to greet the staff, students and guests of the high school community.  Kari also stays beyond her scheduled time to finish a task or help another employee finish something when a deadline is near.  She does so every day with a cheerful smile and a positive attitude.  Kari always goes the extra mile to help out in any situation.  Even under stressful circumstances, she remains clam and supportive and acts in a professional manner.

Below are some comments from her colleagues that show her endless energy and dedication to our school district.

Kari Petrozola represents the ideal that we should all strive for to improve the climate of Schenectady High School.  She is friendly and caring and always does whatever is asked with a smile - and usually a joke.  For this reason, the staff of Schenectady High School would like to nominate our colleague for the Golden Apple Award.
