Schenectady goes
red to raise awareness of heart disease

Buchanan's Pre-K class at Fulton Early Childhood Education
Center participated in National Wear Red Day on February 4.
All of the students in her class wore red and all of the class
activities centered around the color red - red play dough, red
shaving cream, red coloring, etc.
The school also held a
"healthy heart walk/exercise," in which they made a parade line
and walked throughout the building. The students and staff
met in the gym where the physical education teacher led the
group in exercises that increase the heart rate.
The students went back to
class where they enjoyed a healthy red snack.
