Parents
and students who attended Fulton Early Childhood Education
Center's Back to School night on September 23 went home that
evening with more than information about their school.
They left with full bellies, links to community resources
and programs and information on healthcare and safety.
Everyone in
attendance was treated to a dinner prepared by students in
the Steinmetz Career and Leadership Academy.
Fulton
teachers welcomed parents into their classrooms where they
introduced themselves, spoke about what to expect during the
school and told parents how they can support and help their
young ones during the school year.
Among the many
community groups on hand to talk about an array of
services available to parents were:

Sherriff's Department
Safe identification including photos and
finger-printing provided

YMCA
Before and After School Care services provided at
Fulton

Librarian from the public
library
Information about library programs and did some
story-telling

Shared information on the programs that they provide

Head Start
Shared information on the programs that they provide

Fidelis Healthcare
representatives were on hand to share information
about health insurance

NYS
Department of Health representatives were also at
the event to present information on health insurance

Fulton Pupil Personnel Services
provided information on services such as counseling
The Fulton
Parent Partnership Team was also on hand and ready to sign
up those parents who were interested in joining the team.
