Fine Arts In Schenectady

Elmer Avenue kindergarteners created "Blob Painting" as their first painting project in school.

With this piece, the students learned about color names, holding and using a brush, and to describe using words like:  next to, top, bottom, left, right, touching, large, medium, small and background.  The class also began talking about composition. 

According to art teacher Robyn Cross, the students worked very hard to paint colors next to each other that touch each other but don't mix together.
