Graders Visit Museum
Celebrate Native American Indian Customs
The fifth
grade classes at Elmer Avenue Elementary had a wonderful
time celebrating the Native American Indian customs at
The Brookside Museum
in Ballston Spa. According fifth grade teacher Ellen DiSantis,
the students enjoyed the experience especially going in to a
real wigwam.
"We made flour
from dried corn, learned how to start a fire by using rope and
twisting a spindle, and we listened to a great storyteller,"
said DiSantis. "All three classes had a great time. It was a
trip that we won't forget."
