World Language
opportunities are growing at Central Park Middle School.
This year, Central Park is offering Arabic to students in 7th
grade. Central Park also welcomes three new language
teachers Ms. Saffar (Arabic), Srta. Quiles (Spanish), and Mme
Coughlin (French). Mme Veglia will also be teaching French
again this year and Sra. Little begins her eleventh year as a
Spanish teacher at Central Park.
October 24 is
United Nations Day. There are six official languages of
the United Nations including English, Spanish, French, Mandarin
Chinese, Arabic and Russia. Schenectady City Schools
currently offer five of the six languages.
