Central Park 6th Graders Write Books, Buddy Up and Read to Elementary School Students

Students in Melissa Montague's 6th grade class at Central Park Middle School put their creative juices to work to help kindergartener's at Keane Elementary School enjoy reading even more. 

The older students wrote children's books, made bookmarks and brought snacks to the young readers.  Each 6th grader read his or her book to a small group of kindergarteners.  It was such a hit, before the school year is over, they are going back to the elementary school to read to the first graders too.
