• Two or more adults aged 18 or older must be present at the pool when the bathing facility is in use, with at least one adult on the pool deck.
• No Swimming when the lifeguard is not on a duty.
• Children less than 16 years of age must at all times be accompanied by an adult responsible for their safety and behavior while at the pool.
• Pollution of the swimming pool is prohibited.  Urinating, discharge of fecal matter, expectorating or blowing the nose in the pool is prohibited.
• Use of the starting blocks is prohibited except during competitive swimming or swimming training activities.
• Patrons must respond to all lifeguard and other adult directions, the first time given.
• Swimmers must be tested for skill by the pool staff before being allowed in the deep end.
• Report all accidents, injuries or missing persons to the lifeguard immediately.
• When on long blast of the whistle sounds, exit the pool immediately and sit in the bleachers.
• When two blasts of the whistle sound, stop and listen to the lifeguard's instructions.
• Showers are required before entering the pool.
• Persons with skin lesions, inflamed eyes, nose or ear discharge, open wounds or any type of bandage will not be allowed in the pool.
• No running or horseplay.
• No food, drink, or gym allowed in pool area.
• No glass containers allowed in pool area.
• No radios or other electrical devices on pool deck.
• No street shoes on the pool deck.
• No cutoffs or gym shorts.
• No two piece bathing suits - one piece ONLY.
• No jewelry in the pool.
• Return all equipment to its proper storage container.
• No flotation devices in the pool except for supervised instructional purposes.
• No hanging on the lane lines.
• Do not leave dive rings, bricks or any other equipment on the bottom of the pool.
• School equipment is not to be used without permission of lifeguard.
• All other Schenectady City School District rules pertaining to conduct are in effect.
