Mont Pleasant outscored its opponents 171-6

Games vs. Nott Terrace HS and CBA were canceled after MP running back, Dan Monaco, contracted polio.

Six of the eleven members of the All-County team were MP players:

Larry Pivacek, Joe Green, Lou DeMarco, Mickey Petrolle, Mickey

Ferraro & Bob Patrick (all eleven players came from MP and NT)

Nott Terrace outscored its opponents 193-33

 Games vs. Mont Pleasant and Albany were canceled when Dan Monaco (MP) contracted polio and the following day Oliver DeVito, a Nott Terrace running back, came down with polio

Co-Captains:  Alonzo Burnham & Derry Cooke 

Five of the eleven members of the All-County team were NT players:

John Bezio, Alonzo Burnham, Derry Cooke, Ed Wilgocki and Dick Kaczmarek (all eleven players came from NT and MP)

Derry Cooke won the Thom McAn Award.

Nott Terrace finished the season on a twelve game winning streak (dating back to the undefeated 1953 season)
