Approximately
320 alumni and friends were on
hand at the Hall of Springs on
September 18 to honor the 2006
Schenectady City School District
Athletic Hall of Fame inductees
Abe Feldman,
Shirley Muldowney
and
Don
Blaha. New
York State Assembly Minority
Leader James Tedisco was the
guest speaker.
The evening was filled with
laughter
and good times as friends who
came from near
and far reminisced about the
once upon a time days at Mont
Pleasant, Linton and Nott
Terrace high schools.
Each year, there is a
camaraderie, a true sense of
togetherness, felt among all who
attend the celebration.
This year was no different.
While Don Blaha was the only
inductee in attendance,
the spirit of Muldowney who is
recovering from surgery, and
Feldman who is deceased, was
certainly felt throughout the
ball room.
The evening was not only filled
with cheers, tears and chuckles
but grand admiration and respect
for these three individuals who
have made a contribution to the
history and tradition of sports
in our
schools and community.
Congratulations to Abe Feldman,
Shirley Muldowney and Don Blaha.
