CAREER CENTER AT STEINMETZ
The Career Center @ Steinmetz (CC@S) offers students the unique opportunity to pursue a major in one of four career and technical education programs: office management, culinary arts, media arts or property management and maintenance. Students will graduate from CC@S with a solid foundation in one of these career areas, as well as a Regents Diploma. Ninth grade students are enrolled in all core courses and two career and technical education classes: Career and Financial Management (1/2 credit), Technical Writing (1/2 unit) and Career Pathways (1 unit). The career pathways course introduces students, through ten-week blocks, to each of the four programs currently offered at CC@S. Students in grades 10 and 11 & 12 are enrolled in a two period block of time during the 2005-06 school year for concentration in their chosen pathway. Beginning in fall 2005, seniors will be encouraged to participate in either an internship or paid work experience program.

THE CAREER CENTER @ STEINMETZ 2008-09 PROGRAM
Students will be enrolled in all core courses, as well as PE, Spanish and Studio Art, when applicable.
