Valley 5th Grader
is selected for NYC Summer Theatre Academy

Turner, a 5th grader at the Academy of Culture and Communication
at Pleasant Valley, was recently selected out of hundreds of
children from throughout the country, to participate in the 2010
Summer Junior Theatre Academy. Turner, who auditioned on
March 13, performed 16 bars from the Beauty and the Beast song
"Gaston." Only 30 children out of the hundreds that
auditioned, were selected to participate in the summer workshop.
Turner will spend
a week in New York City this summer. He will participate
in workshops and then perform on July 9.
